Well, we have come to the beginning of 2019 and look forward to a new year that’s as successful and exciting as last year! We were bowled over by the success and the wonderful comments from our guests. We have also tried to respond to comments and have invested in a few improvements, including air conditioning for the upstairs bedroom and a dishwasher!
One of the downsides to having so many guests is that we haven’t been able to get out there as much as we might have liked. It was great to have time there in November where we were able to enjoy a few days shopping and eating! Thanks Julianne for kitting us out with some great furnishings from Bali – you can see some of her products here. Of course there was time for some great food too, with some regular visits to our favourites – Les Caves de Madelaine and Les Trios Six. We also discovered some new places: La Maison de Petit Pierre was a great birthday treat, though the fare was more professionally executed than inspired. La Crypte, on the other hand, was a revelation – small and modest but a great selection of small bites.
Of course, luckily, while we aren’t around, Sharon and all our fantastic friends out in Beziers have ensured that the house is kept safe and clean. An enormous thank you to them, without whose help this project would not be possible.
