By Road

You will probably come to Béziers via the A9. If so, you are best coming off at exit 36 on the west side of the town, taking the D64 and crossing the River Orb (D612b). After crossing the bridge follow the road round to the right then take a sharp left turning back on yourself, following the Av. Valentin Duc. Keep bearing to the right as the road leads you up the hill and onto the Boulevard d’Angleterre. The house is just past the roundabout on the left hand side as you go up the hill – look out for the green gates.

If you do find yourself in the city centre, the simplest way to get to the house is to follow signs to  parking Les Halles 1, then continue to follow the one way system down Rue Paul Riquet which will lead you onto the Place Pierre Semard where you will see the Les Halles municipal market. Go all the way around the square and turn left  onto Rue Saint Vincent de Paul which will lead you down the hill. At the bottom, turn right onto Boulevard d’Angleterre as above.

Entering the house

As illustrated below, the front entrance of Maison Cambo is just on Boulevard d’Angleterre. Once you have accessed the keys from the house you can open the electric gates.

Please be warned: the drive is quite steep and there is a sharp bend so if you are not a confident driver, you may prefer to take the keys and drive round to the bottom entrance, especially to unload your luggage, because the steps down to the house are also quite steep.

house map

As you can see from the map below, the route around to the back of the house is not as simple as it seems because you have to take the road back round and double back on yourself, taking a sharp turn onto Rampe de Moulins. That leads you down the hill and onto a roundabout. Just off the roundabout there is a car park for the sports centre. Turn into the car park and you will see the track leading up to the back entrance of the house. Please be aware that the track is not in great condition and is quite steep at times.
